late people annoy me

Likewise, late application decisions frustrate me.

Ten weeks, Georgetown. Ten weeks. Make up your mind already.

Hello. Was very pleased to find this and all the links that you have. I’m a writer, too, and I am trying to get in to lawschool. Right now, I’m going over prep for the LSAT. Any tips? Anything you found particularly useful? Gracias…Sorry for not leaving my name ETC, but I haven’t told my family/friends/job people that I’m actually applying…

aspirant, here’s my post on the LSAT and how I prepped. In retrospect, I should have spent a little more time on Logical Reasoning and a little less on Games—in the end, I did really well on games and missed quite a few on Logical Reasoning.

Thanks. I appreciate it, and good luck with your decision.

So I’m doing a search to find out just how easy it is to find me online… and I found you. We have a few things in common, not the least of which is our first name. I also have an undercover tattoo or two. Lastly, I’m a student at GULC. I love Georgetown, but wanted to share a story about my particular application angst, which might ease your pain — or make you smirk or reconsider GULC as a top choice… When I applied a few years ago (I’m in my 3rd year), I received their standard form rejection letter. Devastated and disbelieving, I made a few inquiries, which didn’t go very far… but then in a few days I got another form letter from Georgetown, that I was accepted. Applying the “last in time doctrine”, I wanted to believe the latter rather than the former missive, but I also knew better than to really trust either. Needless to say, the final answer was that I got in, but WTF? The administration never did give me an answer about that screw-up. Might be a case for intentional infliction of emotional distress? So, that’s how efficient the admissions office is. Hang in there….

Damn, but that’s funny, namesake. Still, I’d rather believe that someone is agonizing over my application than that it’s stuck behind the Xerox machine.

:::sigh::: I might have to call next week.

Perhaps take solace in the fact that GULC has to process something like 12,000+ applications every year…? It takes time, sticky Xerox machines not withstanding. But I feel your pain. Good luck.
