Yeh, I know. Any money is better than no money; and if it doesn’t sell, it goes to the Goodwill. (Except the bed, they don’t take beds. Salvation Army takes beds, though.)
But I love craigslist—I already have a buyer for the bed and a potential offer for the desk. But no one wants the chair. And it’s SO comfy!
I once bought furniture off of craiglist, and the girl ended up “throwing in” some of her other stuff (shelves for displaying plants) that I took since it was free, but never ended up using. I guess I’ll give it to someone else before I move.
Yeah, that bed sounds like a dream deal. (ha! punny!) If only I could find a good bed for that price around here…
We had a huge garage sale before moving to DC and brought in several hundred dollars, even though the retail value of what we sold was easily in the thousands. I didn’t mind; I was just glad whenever anyone would say, “hey! I could use that!” Better than tossing it in the landfill..
