a snapshot of the week ahead

OK, the workload has stabilized. I’m still swamped, but the ramping up of obligations has stopped. Now I just have a steady stream of crap to do.

What kind of crap, you ask? Third memo assignment was handed down this week, so I have to start working on that. I also have three midterms (all ungraded) next week: one in class, two take-home-but-timed. On top of that is the standard fare of reading for class, going to class, a capella rehearsal, and whatever other lunch events the school plans that I’ll have to go to.

Oh, and my in laws will be here this weekend, so that’s a chunk of study time unavailable while they’re here, as well as whatever time we expend in getting the apartment guest-worthy. (They aren’t staying with us, of course; but they’ll be over here, at least.)

And next weekend, we have a trip home to Our Old City. I guess I can at least work on the plane.

So that’s the next several days of my life. And it’s still…only Tuesday.

i should feel this way on MONDAY, not Tuesday

People are pissing me off today. The people on the train who won’t move down to make room for two more people, making them wait for the next train. The people on the train who decide they’ll MAKE you make room for them, so they push you into someone else. The people on the train with giant backpacks. The people who are in a huge hurry and shove you. The people who brush past you so quickly they set your bag to swinging and knock you off balance.

Maybe I’m just annoyed because our apartment is so damn hot. The building turned the heat on so any air circulation we get is HOT air circulation. And there’s not a fan to be found in the city. Mr. Angst’s parents are coming in this weekend, and they’re bringing us fans. Thank God for in-laws.
