why did they make me take this class again? and do I really need to know the Constitution?
Oh my God.
I have a sinking feeling that if I made myself work on my Con Law outline for more than 20 minutes at a time, my eyes would start to bleed. I don’t hate Con Law–not like I’ve hated other subjects, like Chemistry, or Calculus (I’m sensing a trend). I just cannot force myself to dig back into my notes from what was a horrible class. All of the boredom I felt during the semester comes flooding back when I read my notes. Usually, my notes are gentle reminders of confusions (and sometimes insights) I had during the semester. These notes are painful, dry, dull reminders of more than 36 hours of my life I can never get back.
:::whimper:::
My Con Law exam is on Monday. I was thinking this morning that I could probably finish my outline today–I’ve only got 8 more weeks of notes to get through. Now I’m thinking I’ll be lucky if I finish by Sunday evening.

Whereas I, on the other hand, pretty much hated Con Law.
I never finish my outlines until the night before the exam. For me, the outlining process is the studying, the final product is pretty useless.
Good luck on your exams!
You have my deepest sympathies. Blech. I’m with you, as if sitting through the class was not torture enough. My final is on Tuesday. Good luck, and may we both not have to be that bored again.
I once had a law class which I considered the worst “educational” experience of my lifetime. It was just. that. bad. I seriously considered dropping it the week before exams — I was that desperately overwhelmed.
What I did instead was I bought a commercial outline on tape, so I could listen to the subject and learn it as taught from a different perspective. The tapes are usually multiple hours long (good for casual listening but you can also outline them pretty easily). I found they gave me a better structure for understanding the issues and the law than my prof did, and they filled in gaps that made my class notes easier to understand and assimilate.
Either way, I’m sure you’ll ace the exam. Good luck!
Will this help at all?
